If you sometimes let a "colorful" adjective fly during your morning commute to suggest what your fellow drivers can do with their drivers licenses, or possibly do your best sailor impersonation when you stub your toe - don't judge yourself too harshly.  According to the New York Post, a new study shows that a full quarter of Americans let the first cuss word of the day fly before 9 A.M., and more than half of us give in to spewing a bad word or two by 11 A.M.

All-in-all, cursing seems to be the most common way of blowing off the steam created by the everyday stresses we face (63%), with yelling and crying coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

The study also identified the most common causes of stress that we are trying to cuss away.  The top 3 are: Financial worry, lack of sleep, and health worries.  It's no wonder that more and more stressed out Americans are looking for healthier stress-relief activities.  The study also identified ways to deal with this stress in a healthy way - listening to music, watching a movie, and physical activity are the top 3 ways to reduce the stress without getting your mouth washed out with soap.
