Local steakhouse, 2John's in Bossier City is named one of the best steakhouses in the country by Opentable.com.

John Montelepre, Jr is the owner of 2John's Steak and Seafood. He is the former owner of Leon’s Smoke Turkey in Shreveport. He opened 2Johns in the fall of 2009.

His son, John Montelepre, III is the General Manager of the restaurant. He previously worked as a Pastry Chef at Superior Steakhouse in Shreveport before joining his father in the family business.

Four other Louisiana steakhouses make the list, but all of them are in South Louisiana. The Chop House in New Orleans, Gallagher's Grill in Covington, La Boca Steakhouse in New Orleans, Mr. John's Steakhouse in New Orleans and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Baton Rouge are all honored.
