3 Shreveport High Schools Will Add AP Capstone To Their Curriculum

According to KSLA, 3 Shreveport high schools will add AP Capstone coursework to their curriculum  - C.E. Byrd, Caddo Parish Magnet and Captain Shreve - in the fall.

The reason why this is so cool is because there is only two other schools in Louisiana offer the same coursework. Only 650 schools worldwide will offer AP Capstone courses in the fall.

AP Capstone courses will take student's educational experience to the next level and sharpen essential tools needed to be successful in college and in life.

I regret not taking AP courses when I was in high school.

I was wrapped up in my extra curricular activities and couldn't balance the extra class work from AP classes. I was captain of the drill team, editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, and taking dance classes at a local studio. When I got into college I felt very out of my element. I wasn't used to college course work or the lecture style of teaching.

I am pretty sure that I would have done better if I took the time and focused on AP classes.
