The stars of "Glee" have racked up sales of 57 million singles and 20 top 40 hits. Lea Michele has been there since the beginning, so it's about time she put herself out there as a solo artist.

Lea Michele's debut album, Louder, hits stores this week. The album is the opposite of what she has done with "Glee" in that each song is an original performed by Michele. It's a pop album with songs written by Michele, Sia and Christina Perri. Many of the songs are romantic and upbeat however, she does dive into the feelings she experienced after the death of her boyfriend and co-star, Cory Monteith.

All of the songs have a very personal meaning to Michele.

She told ABC News Radio that it was a natural step for her to created her own solo record. Michele named the album after the song "Louder," which she says is a strong and positive song about speaking your mind.

Michele hopes to tour to promote the album between seasons five and six of "Glee."
