Actor David Canary, who played twins Adam and Stuart Chandler on the long-running soap opera All My Children, died of natural causes in Wilton, CT Nov. 16 at the age of 77.

"So sad to learn of the passing of the great David Canary. A incredibly talented actor. A wonderful man. I was lucky to know you," tweeted former co-star Kelly Ripa. Sarah Michelle Gellar also tweeted, "#rip #DavidCanary You were the epitome of class. It was a joy and an honor to call you a colleague. #AllMyChildren."

Canary began his acting career in the 1960's with roles on such shows as Peyton Place and Bonanza. From there, he moved to daytime, where he appeared on Search for Tomorrow, The Doctors and Another World before joining All My Children in 1983.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Maureen, two children, Christopher and Kathryn, a grandson, Donovan, and a brother, John.
