It's almost time for farmers' markets in our area to open up for the summer. Some are already open, but a few will kick this off on June 2nd. Here's a complete list of all the markets in our area:

Shreveport Farmers Market

Shreveport Farmers’ Market operates at Festival Plaza in Downtown Shreveport. It opens for the summer on Saturday June 2nd.  It opens at 7am each Saturday and closes at noon. It runs through August 25th (except June 16th).

The Shreveport market is covered and offers ceiling fans to keep things cool on those hot summer days. More than 150 vendors participate in the Shreveport Market.

Greenwood Farmers Market

This market also opens up on June 2nd and will run each Saturday thru the end of August. The hours are 8am-noon. Vendor spots are just $5.

Bossier Farmers' Market

This market opened up in April and will run through the summer and fall. The hours are 9am-1pm each Saturday until the first week in November 2018. This market is held in the parking lot of Pierre Bossier Mall.  The Market has space for up to 200 vendors, with more than 100 already signed up. That number includes numerous farmers/produce vendors, food trucks with varying cuisines, unique handmade good/crafts, local honey, pickles, salsa, handmade soap and candles, jams, jellies, handmade clothing, baked goods, and much more.

Blanchard Farmers' Market

The Provenance Farmers Market takes place in Windrush Park every Thursday night in June and October. The dates in June are June 7, 14, 21 and 28.  The market will also be open on Saturday, June 16th

Benton Farmers Market

The Benton Farmers' Market is open on Sundays. The hours are noon-4pm. You'll find all the fresh fruits and veggies in the area behind the Bossier Parish School Board building at 495 Simpson Street.

The Haughton market runs September to December on Saturdays from 9am to 2pm. It's on West McKinley next to the Haughton Police Station.
