Kids are extremely tech savvy.  My son could navigate any smartphone, laptop, or remote control before he could speak.  It's no surprise that so many parents have dealt with the nightmare of unauthorized purchases made on their Amazon accounts including in-app purchases made on mobile games.

Last year, a court found the retail giant liable because the buying process is so easy - a child could do it.  Amazon was ordered to pay $70 million in refunds to affected parents.  Because of this, and another ruling in 2014 against Apple and Google for the same thing, the warnings on purchases are much more explicit.

If your child made an unauthorized purchase through Amazon between November 2011 and May 2016, you may be eligible for a refund!  Make sure to make your claim before May 26th, 2018 by clicking here.  If you are due a refund, you will find what you need under the "important messages" tab.

Amazon is handling the entire process itself, at the suggestion of the Federal Trade Commission.
