AMC announced Tuesday that it has canceled the drama "The Killing" for a second time, and it looks like this time it's for good.

The network issued a statement which read, "We have made the difficult decision not to move forward with a fourth season of The Killing. "We want to thank our great partners at Fox Television Studios, creator Veena Sud, an extraordinary cast and the dedicated fans who watched."

After its cancellation following its second season, AMC apparently had a change of heart and renewed the series, but low ratings in its third season prompted the network to pull the trigger again.

"The Killing"'s cancellation was first reported by Deadline.com.
