“American Idol” Crowns Champion

After all the dust settled, it came down to the final two: Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips. So who walked away with all the marbles?A record-setting 132.3 million votes were cast and, ultimately, the voters chose Phillip Phillips as the winner of the 11th season of "American Idol".

His fellow finalists, including runner-up Sanchez, surrounded him with hugs and back-pats before accepting the first-place trophy from last year's winner, Scotty McCreery.

Phillips then picked up his guitar and sang an emotional rendition of "Home", his first official single as "Idol" champ.
