President Obama's seemingly one-sided "town hall" meeting on gun control was sailing along smoothly Thursday, until Taya Kyle, the widow of "American Sniper" hero Chris Kyle was handed the microphone.

Kyle pointed out to the President (something that the AP later noted, also) that none of the new regulations in his executive order would have prevented any of the recent mass killings. She then questioned whether knowing this, Obama was just trying to give Americans "a false sense of hope", when lawful gun ownership gives them a legitimate sense of security.
