An Amazing Day Living In The Box

Today was perhaps the best day living in the box.  I'm not sure if it was the smell getting to me, or the Christmas spirit - but it was an emotional day living in our Moblie-Mini Box.  We've seen a lot of very kind people come through our camp on the last 7 days, and heard some incredible stories of what this toy drive means to our neighbors in the Shreveport/ Bossier City area .

It was very early this morning, and we had a very cute start to the day.

As you can see, not only did this little girl pick out this beautiful, princess bike - she was thrilled to be giving it to a child that needed it for Christmas. That has been the overwhelming reason we have undertaken this incredible journey.

These sisters worked together with their dad to pick out the perfect bikes for an awesome kid in the SBC who would have gone without one this holiday season.

This is Paston Justin Haigler, with Simple Church.  He and his friends overwhelmed us with kindness when they donated earlier this evening.  When I say friends, I mean dozens and dozens.  They helped us pull off a miracle.

This is just a small portion of the donations you have given.  There is another trailer full of toys that Operation Santa Claus will turn into smiles very soon.  I am so proud to live in a community that cares so much about itself.  I think my heart grew two sizes today.  My cardiologist is a bit concerned about that.
