Bismarck, ND news anchor A.J. Clemente has been fired after his first day on the job at KFYR-TV after a couple of unfortunate words went out over the air.

Clemente was having difficulty pronouncing the name of Olympic runner Tsegaye Kebede and was heard uttering "F**kin' s**t" as the newscast began.

Monday Clemente tweeted, "Unfortunately KFYRTV has decided to let me go. Thank you to them and everyone in ND for the opportunity and everyone for the support."

He added, "Rookie mistake. I'm a free agent. Cant help but laugh at myself and stay positive. Wish i didnt trip over my 'Freaking Shoes' out of the gate."

The video of his slip-up has since gone viral, which means that Clemente has become a household name, and could also lead to some job offers. He just needs to remember the following...ALWAYS assume that your mike is on!
