Sometimes all a thriller needs to be really exciting is one simple, intriguing concept. Like, say, a woman wakes up stuck in a cryogenic chamber and has to figure out how to get out of it before her limited air supply runs out. Sound good to you? Good, because it’s happening, and Anne Hathaway is starring in it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hathaway has joined O2, a new thriller from screenwriter Christie LeBlanc in her feature film debut. The movie doesn’t have a director yet, but is hoping to begin filming in the fall.

A concept this vaguely defined offers some intriguing questions, not the least of which is: what is Anne Hathaway doing in a cryogenic pod in the first place? Are we in the future? How far into the future? Are we in space? Is this a Passengers situation? (God, I hope not.) Are there any more people in more pods? Did someone do this to her on purpose? How do you get out of a cryo-chamber from the inside? Did the manufacturer not install a failsafe?

Hathaway just wrapped the girl-powered Ocean’s 11 spinoff Ocean’s 8, and her upcoming projects include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels remake Nasty Women with Rebel Wilson and Serenity with Matthew McConaughey.
