Another Slow Weekend At The Box Office

How slow, you may ask?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows topped the box office this weekend with $35.2 million, but fell way short of its 2014 predecessor's $65.5 million opening.

X-Men: Apocalypse dropped to second place with $22.3 million, while the romantic drama Me Before You debuted in third place with $18.2 million.

Alice Through the Looking Glass (4th, $10.6 million) and The Angry Birds Movie (5th, $9.7 million) rounded out the top five, while Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, starring Andy Samberg and The Lonely Island, bombed with a total take of $4.6 million, despite mostly positive reviews.
