Apple dropped some hot knowledge in the form of two new iPhones and the Apple Watch yesterday, and no company's ears perked up more at the sight of the new time device than the folks at EA Mobile.

In an interview with CNET right after the announcement, EA Mobile head Frank Gibeau talked about how the new A8 processing chip in iPhone would help his company make better games before shifting his attention to the new Apple Watch, calling the device "the emergence of another gaming platform."

"One of the things we're intrigued with in the mobile division is seeing wearables emerge as a gaming platform. We think we're in the early stages of that, if you look at Oculus and its relationship with Facebook, and Google Glass," Gibeau said in the interview. "Now with Apple's big announcement with the watch, there's a trend here where wearables are going to increase in performance, capability and unique functions over time that we believe will enable gaming experiences."

Gibeau goes on to mention that EA currently has "two teams prototyping wearable experiences" for the AppleWatch and other devices. Essentially, EA wants to make games you can play on your wrist because even holding a phone is becoming too cumbersome. We like the AppleWatch idea, but we'll throw all of our money at the first person who creates a Goldeneye-esque watch laser or a walkie-talkie app straight out of Inspector Gadget.

The AppleWatch launches in 2015 for the low, low price of $349.
