Are Red Head Emojis Ever Going to Happen?

Ever since Apple created a more inclusive selection of emojis I have been waiting for a red head emoji. Why were red heads not included in the first place? Nevertheless, according to Pizza Bottle, red heads will now be included in the variety of emojis. Well kind of.

There are two different types of dragon emojis, but I can't get a single red head? Not fair.

Apparently there is supposed to be an Apple meeting next week, according to How to Be a Red Head, that will discuss the possibility of adding red head emoji by June 2018. But why? Why were red heads excluded from the latest update of emojis? Why are we having to wait this long to get some ginger emojis? I'm salty about this.
