Could the Queen of Soul be gracing the judges' table on "American Idol"?

CNN reports that Aretha Franklin answered an e-mailed query whether she'd be interested in being a judge on the singing-competition show by saying she is a longtime fan of the show, and would take a more active role if asked. She added she wants to bring fellow diva Patti LaBelle as a sidekick.

So far, no comment from FOX.
