Shreveport Police have announced that they have have obtained an arrest warrant for a local man in connection with a shooting that occurred at Koko Pelli's in downtown Shreveport Saturday, December 8th.

According to a press release from the Shreveport Police Department:

On December 11, 2012, a warrant was procured for the arrest of 19 year old Bryan Stewart of Shreveport, charging him with a single count of attempted second degree murder.  Stewart, following a detailed investigation, was developed as a suspect in the December 8, 2012 shooting of 27 year old Jawilli Rayon following an alleged argument between the two men while inside of the Koko Pellis nightclub located in the 400 block of Commerce Street in downtown Shreveport.  At the arrival of the Shreveport Fire Department, Rayon was found to be suffering from a single gunshot wound to the neck for which he was subsequently transported to LSUHSC with injuries that were considered to be potentially non life threatening.

After speaking with witnesses to the shooting and reviewing of surveillance video from the business, authorities were able to gather and secure evidence linking Stewart to the shooting of Jawilli Rayon. The warrant secured by detectives, has an affixed bond amount 250,000.00 dollars.  Authorities are urging anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Bryan Stewart are urged to contact Shreveport-Caddo Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373 or Shreveport Police Detectives at (318) 673-6955.
