Ask Bristol: Top Entertainment Picks At The Red River Revel
Each year the Red River Revel spices things up along the, you guessed it, Red River in downtown Shreveport! With great artists from across the area, a plethora of children's activities and scrumptious food, there's sure to be something for everyone at the Revel. Sure, I like the art and stuff, but I'm after the entertainment! That's why I've put together a list of the must see acts at this year's Red River Revel!
Better Than Ezra
Check out Better Than Ezra this Saturday, October 1st at the Revel on the Chase Stage starting at 8:30pm and find out why they are indeed the Kings of New Orleans!
Better Than Ezra Songs You Might Know:)
Buddy Flett and Friends
Check out Buddy Flett (from the Bluebirds) and Friends Monday, October 3rd on the Family Stage starting at 6pm. Click here for video of Buddy with another Shreveport native, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, playing at Leadbelly's Grave. Clearly, you can find more video on YouTube, but that's my favorite one and it's MY post!
Robin and The Bluebirds
Check out Robin and The Bluebirds Saturday, October 1st on the Chase Stage starting at 4pm. Robin is probably my favorite local singer. She can do it all and do it well! The band is solid, tight and will make you think you're listening to the original! Check out Robin's amazing pipes by clicking here!
Colt Ford
I know a lot of you would have Colt further up the list, but what can I say? I'm a big fan of Robin Beach Black and Buddy Flett! Plus, this is my list and I can do what I want! Colt Ford is a national recording artist and if you're into country, you'll be into Colt. After all, he likes to sing about chicks who like to ride in trucks and if you're from the SBC, you most likely like to ride in trucks, too! Check Colt out Saturday, October 8th on the Chase stage starting at 8:30pm! Check out Colt's Music Videos here!
The Godsong Project
If you're into Christian rock, I think you're going to dig these guys! They're from Shreveport and you can check out The Godsong Project Wednesday, October 5th on the Chase stage starting at 4:30pm. This would make a great outing for your church's youth group!
