City Of Shreveport Opens “Cooling Centers” At Its 15 Community Centers
July 12, 2011 The City of Shreveport has opened “Cooling Centers” at its 15 community centers to provide area citizens a relief from the high heat.
Designated areas at all centers will be available for citizens to receive free bottled water. “Cooling Centers” opened today, from 8:00am – 8:00pm at the larger centers; and 8:00am – 6:00pm at the smaller centers.
