Barksdale Airman Selected as Globetrotters’ Hometown Hero

Harlem Globetrotters star and Centenary College gratuate Herb "Flight Time" Lang visits Barksdale Air Force Base this afternoon to honor one of our local airmen. He'll be at the the Barksdale Fitness Center at 3 p.m.

Senior Airman Christopher Hawkins has been selected as the "Harlem Globetrotters' Hometown Hero." He'll be presented with tickets to the Globetrotters game at CenturyLink Center, scheduled for Tuesday, February 3 at 7 p.m. He'll also be honored at the event.

At the game, Hawkins will receive a camouflage ball and be recognized in front of thousands of fans, plus he gets to sit on the bench with the team. In recognition of all our military men and women, the Globetrotters will play part of the third quarter with the camouflage ball.
