Batman Impersonator Who Visits Sick Children Died After Being Struck By a Car

This is tragically heartbreaking. Leonard Robinson is a 51-year-old man who spends his free time dressing up as Batman to visit sick children. He reportedly spent over 25,000 per year of his own money on Batman related items.

Just a few years ago, he went viral after being pulled over for driving a $250,000 Lamborghini without a real license plate. His plate featured only the Batman symbol.

Robinson died Sunday night after being struck by a car on a Maryland highway.

He was driving home from a car show when his Batmobile began experiencing engine problems. He then pulled over to check the car out. A Toyota Camry then smashed into the car, which in turn hit Robinson. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Such a truly heartbreaking story... RIP Leonard Robinson aka The Route 29 Batman.
