After an incredible run for the Benton High School Tigers baseball team this year, the rewards keep coming.

The Tigers brought home their first baseball state championship in school history, after some amazing playoff games, and pure force of will. Now the individual awards are coming in.

Benton’s Head Coach JD Stephens was named the Class 4A Baseball Coach of the Year earlier this week. Stephens led the ninth-seeded Tigers to the state title. Additionally, Benton Senior Andrew McPherson was named to the First Team All State Team in 4A.

Benton's Garrett Hable and Cole Horton were named Honorable Mention for the 4A All State Team.

The awards weren't exclusive for the baseball side in Benton. On the Softball side, Ashley Hunter was named Honorable Mention for the 4A Softball All State Team.

There was another local representative on that 4A Softball All State Team too, Haily Ebey from North DeSoto was named First Team All State.
