I like the Rock. I like Fast & Furious, GI-Joe (filmed in Louisana!), San Andreas, all of the Kevin Hart movies, and even the Tooth Fairy.  The first one, not the Larry the Cable guy one.  Lately, it seems like Mr. Johnson is pushing the limits of my acceptance with the slew of remakes.  First it was Jumanji - the classic board-game-come-to-life action comedy starring the one and only Robin Williams, then it was Baywatch.  Now, the Samoan Superman has been assigned the role of Jack Burton in the Big Trouble In Little China remake.  I'm not saying that The People's Eyebrow can't handle the Porkchop Express, I'm just saying - maybe some things are better left alone.  Mad Max: Fury Road was great, but the remake of Footloose and Red Dawn were absolute garbage.

Here's the most worrisome part: no one involved with this film has reached out to John Carpenter.  The genius behind not only BTILC, but countless other (cult) classics.   Not cool, everyone involved including Dwayne Johnson, not cool.

Just so you know what you're up against, Mr. The Rock, here's a little taste of the original.
