Last month the Bossier City Animal Control was struggling to get cats adopted.

They are having the same problem again. This time it is with the cats and the dogs. The sad part about this whole situation is that the Bossier City Animal Shelter is a kill shelter. The dogs and cats that don't get adopted will get put down to make room for more animals coming into the shelter.

I had a conversation with one of the employees via email who confirmed that due to over crowding they had to put some dogs down. This breaks my heart. However, this is the reality of the a kill shelter whether we like it or not. There is a way to help these cats and dogs. Share this on Facebook. Send this to animal friends and animal lovers. Let's get these babies homes.

They are asking that if you know of someone or if you plan on adopting an animal in the near future- come by the Bossier City Animal Shelter. Remember, Adopt. Don't shop!
