Bossier Sheriff Deputy Earns Medal For Heroic Rescue

Far to often the media focuses on the negative stories so we always like to focus on the ones that show the good in people. This year hasn't been the best year for police around the country as far as public relations. However in our community we have many amazing officers who will stop at nothing to save the life of those in need.

Deputy Darryl Ware was given the Sheriff’s Commendation Medal this week during the Bossier Parish year end award ceremony. Deputy Ware rushed into a house fire where he saved a sleeping family before anyone was harmed.

This isn't the first time that Deputy Ware risked his life to help someone in need back in 2014 he ran into an apartment fire to save someone from the flames.
