Breaking News: Apple Announces New Emojis [PHOTOS]

Yes, it truly is crazy that Apple breaking news consists of the release of new emojis. I guess that's to be expected when we live in a world of talking without words.

Apple just announced that when they roll out the next version of the iOS operating system, it's going to include a bunch of new emojis.

The main additions are:  Female athletes like swimmers and surfers, female workers like astronauts and firefighters, the rainbow flag, and single parents with kids.

No major changes... Well except for one that's not really major but I'm sure people will make a big deal about it. That change is the fact that they are getting rid of the gun emoji. I guess you have to apply for a background check before being gifted the fictional emoji gun. You will still have access to an emoji gun, though, except this one will be a green squirt gun.
