Bridge Inspections to Cause a Few Tie-ups

Louisiana DOTD is set to begin some bridge inspection work that will cause some lane closures in various areas of Caddo Parish.

Here's the list of days and times the work will be going on:

Monday, June 6 -- I-49 Northbound bridge over 75th St. through 85th St.

That area will be down to two lanes of traffic from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The bridge is located half-a-mile north of the Terry Bradshaw Passway. Only vehicles 14 feet wide or smaller will be able to pass through the inspection zone.

Tuesday, June 7 -- I-49 Southbound bridge over 75th St. through 85th St.

The area will be down to two lanes of traffic from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Only vehicles 14 feet wide or smaller will be able to pass through the inspection zone.

Wednesday, June 8 -- North Common Street bridge over Cross Bayou

One lane of the LA 3036 bridge will be closed from 8 a.m.-noon. Only vehicles 10 feet wide or smaller will be able to pass through the inspection zone. Larger vehicles need to detour using Spring St. to Texas St.

Thursday, June 9 -- Spring Street Northbound bridge over Cross Bayou

One lane of the US 71 northbound bridge will be closed from 9 a.m.-noon. Only vehicles 14 feet wide or smaller will be able to pass through.

Thursday, June 9 -- Market Street Southbound bridge over Cross Bayou

One lane of the US 71 southbound bridge will be closed from noon-3 p.m. Only vehicles 14 feet wide or smaller will be allowed to pass through the inspection zone.

Friday, June 10 -- LA 538 Bridge over Caddo Lake

One lane of the LA 538 bridge, less than a mile north of LA 169, will be closed from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Only vehicles 12 feet wide or smaller will be able to pass through. Larger vehicles need to detour using LA 169 to I-49 to LA 530 to LA 538.

All inspections will be done weather permitting, and DOTD reminds you to please drive with caution through the inspection sites. Be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
