A publicist for Mars' label Atlantic Records told the Associated Press that the 55-year-old Hernandez, died at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu. No other details were given.

Hernandez was rushed to the hospital over the weekend following a heart attack and listed in critical condition.

Mrs. Hernandez was a singer and hula dancer who passed her love of music on to her son at an early age. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bruno and his family during this difficult time.
