Burger King Offered to Team With McDonald’s on International Peace Day, but McDonald’s Turned Them Down

Can't we all just get along? Clearly not as the American Burger War continues.

As we approach international Peace Day on September 21st, one large fast food corporation decided to team up with their mortal enemies.

Burger King submitted a proposal to McDonald's offering a "ceasefire on the so called 'Burger wars'". Burger King had the idea that for one day, September 21st, they could develop and produce the "McWhopper".

How awesome of an idea is that?? Kudos to Burger King for coming up with the idea, it's a shame that McDonald's doesn't want to play ball.

Here's the official response from McDonald's CEO Steve Easterbook.

I think I speak for us all when I say it would of been an awesome collaboration that means so much more than Big Macs or Whoppers. Too bad Steve and McDonald's used this excellent opportunity to be jerks.
