Caddo Parish Animal Control Director to Resign

The Caddo Parish Animal Servies Director is resigning. Chuck Wilson's last day will be November 1st,

Parish Administrator Dr. Woody Wilson was notified of Wilson's decision this week. Caddo Parish President Steven Jackson tells us things do need to change inside animal control.

This change comes in the wake of the third public controversy the shelter has faced this year. In January there was a report of animals being put down erroneously due to paperwork confusion. Over the summer there were arrests made in the case of shelter workers performing sex acts on pets. In the past few weeks, an investigation has started over allegations employees were selling pets online. This week, a house cat was mistakenly euthanized. Workers mistook this cat for another.
