Last week several support teams and aid relief rushed to support the East Coast from Hurricane Florence. Even a team of our very own Shreveport Fire Department also made the trip to help.

There has been numerous of stories to come out since the hurricane hit, but this one has got to be one of my favorite rescue stories.

According to the Huffington Post, the Cajun Navy rescued more than a hundred cats and dogs that were trapped on the top floor of an animal shelter. In North Carolina at the Carteret County Humane Society they were having some serious flooding from Hurricane Florence on Friday. Three staff members, 43 dogs, and 80 cats were stuck inside on the top floor of the building. Thankfully the Cajun Navy was able to step in and help rescue everyone.

As for those Shreveport Firefighters that are still up there helping out click on the button below to get more information about their plans.
