Cardi B dominated 2017 and the majority of 2018, and as we near the end of year and step into award season, the Bronx powerhouse continues to get hers. This time it's at the 2018 American Music Awards—where she was given the Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist award.

Tonight (Oct. 9), Cardi B took home the first award of the night and beat out Post Malone and Drake for the award. The "Backin' It Up" spitter took the stage in a gigantic floral ensemble to thank her publicist, husband, friends and family for holding her down through a strenuous period.

She then added, "I really wanna thank my daughter," before explaining how Kulture's arrival kept her going.

Viewers of the 2018 American Music Awards are heavily anticipating her first television performance of "I Like It" with Bad Bunny and J. Balvin. The platinum-selling single off her debut studio album, Invasion of Privacy charted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on July 7.
