Today I had to the distinct pleasure to host King XII Shelby Duay of the Krewe des Ambassadeurs and Pattie Odom from Minden Main Street in studio! We had a great time as we talked about tomorrow Grand Bal at DiamondJack's Casino and Resort as well as the festivities Saturday with the Minden Fasching Karneval and Parade.

The Krewe of Akewa is holding their Grand Bal this evening at the Centaur Den and it's theme is 'Cajun Fairytales.' Captain Penny Zimmerman told us there would be lots of fun twists to your favorite children's stories and plenty of Cajun cousine.

The group has found a way to meet the needs of teens who would like to go to prom, but can't afford formal attire while also raising money for Susan G. Komen.
