Watch Vin Diesel’s Emotional Introduction to a ‘Fast and Furious 7’ Screening

Earlier this week, we were among those in the audience for the first ever Fast and Furious 7 screening at SXSW. It was an emotional affair, to say the least. It's not often you watch a movie where The Rock walks down a street shooting a helicopter out of the sky with a massive gatling gun that ends with everyone in the audience crying, but there we were. An entire audience still processing the grief and sadness of the death of Paul Walker. A few days after that screening, Vin Diesel hosted a similar screening in Los Angeles and introduced the film to the crowd. It was about as sad as you can imagine.

The Cast and Crew of ‘Goodfellas’ Will Reunite For a 25th Anniversary Screening

Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas won just one Oscar (for supporting actor Joe Pesci) at the 1991 Academy Awards. (The year’s Best Picture winner was Kevin Costner’s Dances With Wolves.) But the film seems to grow more popular and critically acclaimed every year, to the point where it’s now considered one of Scorsese’s masterpieces, one of the best movies of the 1990s, and perhaps the best gangster film ever made without the word “godfather” in the title. Astonishingly (at least it feels astonishing to an old man like me), it’s been 25 years since Goodfellas made its debut in theaters, an anniversary Scorsese and his cast and crew will celebrate next month with a 25th anniversary screening and reunion at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival.

Join The Providence House and Help Put an End to Homelessness in Shreveport [VIDEO]

The second annual Sleepout 4 Independence is right around the corner.

On April 11th-12th, 700 campers will unite on the field at Independence Stadium. It's a great opportunity to bring awareness and education in the vital mission of breaking the cycle of homelessness in our community. Sleeping in a “box shelter,” hearing and seeing stories of homeless families who have made the move to independence and permanent housing, and sharing each other’s experiences will bring this ministry up close and personal for our youth and the community.
