‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Will Shake Up the MCU, Pave the Way for ‘Infinity War’

We knew Thor: Ragnarok was about to change things for the MCU as soon as we heard what the subtitle was going to be. The Asgardian Apocalypse, involving a literal goddess of death bringing an end to the mightiest civilization in the multiverse, is probably going to shake up the rest of our universe a little too. ‘Eyes of My Mother’ Director to Get His Hooks in ‘The Grudge’ Reboot

Not a whole lot of people ended up seeing last year’s minimalist horrorshow The Eyes of My Mother, but most of those who did were suitably impressed. Director Nicolas Pesce’s stripped-down approach to small-town sadism earned the respect of the juries at Sundance and the same set of horror purists who made The Witch an out-of-nowhere hit. An emerging artist with a clearly defined sense of style, Pesce stuck out as a talent to watch, and those who had kept tabs on the director will be pleased to see he’s landed his next gig. And you may already be familiar with his next project, too.

Matt Reeves Wants to Take a Cue From the ‘Planet of the Apes’ Series and Make Batman More ‘Emotional’

Matt Reeves has a pretty intimidating task ahead of him with The Batman: He’ll have to fill the shoes that Ben Affleck himself almost wore as director, and he’ll also have to make a solo superhero film that stacks up against Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman, which has bested all four of its DCEU predecessors at the domestic box office. He already has a few plans up his sleeve, one of which is to make it more like Planet of the Apes.

Adam Wingard Explains Why He Set Netflix’s ‘Death Note’ Movie in America

For most fans of the Death Note manga and/or anime series, it may seem a little odd that Netflix’s new movie based on the property is set in the U.S. It was, after all, a Japanese series to begin with. Vin Diesel Agrees With Michelle Rodriguez’ Complaint About the ‘Fast & Furious’ Women

Last week, Michelle Rodriguez posted an Instagram praising the eighth Fast & Furious movie, but also mentioning that the series’ treatment of its female characters might force her to sit out the next round, if the situation doesn’t improve. Robert Downey Jr. Doesn’t Want to Overstay His MCU Welcome

Here’s a quick question for you, who is the most important actor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? We all know who the highest-paid actor is  —  that would be Robert Downey Jr.  —  but is he still the most important actor in the franchise as well? Has Chris Evans or Chris Hemsworth surpassed him?
