Celine Dion’s Brother Dies At 59, Days After Husband’s Death

Not long after the loss of her husband, Rene Angelil, Celine Dion is mourning the death of her brother, Daniel, at the age of 59. Both men died of cancer.

A representative for Dion said that Daniel had been battling terminal cancer of the throat tongue and brain.

Dion issued a statement which read, "His last days were in the wonderful care of the doctors and personnel at Maison Adhémar-Dion, a palliative care center in Terrebonne Québec. For those wishing to send flowers, a donation to that organization would be very much appreciated."

Angelil died Thursday at the age of 73 of throat cancer.
