Chance The Rapper took to Twitter today (June 22) to apologize to hip-hop mogul Dr. Dre. Chance shared via Twitter that he regrets poking fun at Dre and his label, Aftermath Entertainment, while Chance was on his Be Encouraged Tour.

While on the tour, Chance mocked several major labels during performances of his song “No Problem." The screen behind him onstage showed several parodies of labels like Def Jam ("Don't Join" and Aftermath ("Can't Do Math.")

On Twitter, Chance apologized for “publicly disrespecting their hard work and contributions to music.”

"Dre is a premier example of creating space for wealth and ownership in an industry designed for creatives to be the foot soldiers," Chance tweeted. "His work with Beats, Compton Schools and artist like Kendrick [Lamar], Game, Eminem, [Anderson].Paak, 50 [Cent] NWA and others is unmatched and how i inspire to be."

Chance has famously not signed with a major label.

Both Chance and Dre have made headlines recently for charitable work. Chi-town native Chance teamed up with Chicago Beyond, a venture philanthropy fund, to announce the Go! Innovate Challenge--a funding challenge that supports Chicago youth. Meanwhile, Dr. Dre has vowed to donate $10 million to help construct a performing arts facility at the new Compton High School in his own hometown of Compton, Calif.
