Cher Defends Chaz

Never get between a diva and her cub!

After anonymous commenters flooded message boards with negative comments about Chaz Bono's decision to compete on the 13th season of "Dancing With the Stars", his mother Cher rushed to her son's defense on Twitter Wednesday.

In her tweet, she wrote, "Chaz is being viciously attacked on blogs and message boards about being on DWTS! This is still America right? It took guts to it. I support him no matter what he chooses to do. . .It took courage to do DWTS! Thank God Chaz has an unlimited supply."

The tweet then turned angry as Cher continued, "Mothers don't stop getting angry with stupid bigots who f--- with their children!"

During the show's cast reveal Monday, Bono, who will be the first transgendered person to compete, told Us Weekly, "At this point I want people to know that transgender people are just like everyone else. We're not people to be afraid of or misunderstood. I would love to get that message across."
