NBC is going live again with a production of "Peter Pan." Christopher Walken's Captain Hook is sure to make us smile.

According to CBS, NBC is doing another live television production with the classic tale of "Peter Pan."  This is a follow-up to last December's "Sound of Music" with Carrie Underwood. NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt made the announcement about Christopher Walken playing the iconic Captain Hook at a TV critic's meeting.

Walken got his start in musical theater and will bring his own unique spin on the villian. Dare we say, a singing and tap dancing pirate?

Currently, Walken can be seen on the big screen playing a mob boss who loves music in Clint Eastwood's "Jersey Boys."

Rumor has it the production crew has reached out to Kristen Bell to play Peter Pan in the December 4 television special. This wouldn't be the first time that Pan has been portrayed by a female.Mary Martin played the flying lost boy in the 1960 television musical.

Peter Pan seems to be the latest fab in Hollywood. Warner Bros is working on a live-action film for the big screen. Hugh Jackman and Amanda Seyfried have signed on for various roles.
