Cody Simpson Covers Jack Johnson’s ‘Taylor’

Aussie heartthrob Cody Simpson has a lot on his plate. He’s recording and touring – but he does have some downtime, and he even dedicates that to his fans. He treated them to a rendition of Jack Johnson’s song ‘Taylor.’

Recorded in black and white in Simpson’s bedroom, the Down Under crooner gets Johnson’s vibe just right. He even has a surf board in his room! Simpson announced the video via Twitter, writing, “posting a chill Jack Johnson cover from my bedroom real soon. Reminds me of how it all started! Stay tuned. #Taylor.”

Simpson’s acoustic turn is a far cry from his more recent collaborations. He’s been working with none other than Justin Bieber lately, for songs both on Bieber’s ‘Believe’ and Simpson’s upcoming album (which may or may not be titled ‘Young Boy Class‘).

Another song he recently released that’s a a complete 180 from ‘Taylor’? His most recent single, ‘So Listen,’ which features the electronic Auto Tune king, T-Pain.
