Any number of classic 60s and 70 TV series have been ruined by moviemakers ("Get Smart"? "Bewitched"?), but maybe this time, the results will be different. Coming soon: "The Man From U.N.C.L.E", the movie.

Robert Vaughn and David McCallum starred in the television spy classic some 50 years ago, coming to the small screen at the height of the James Bond boom. But in this mobie version the roles of super sleuths Napoleon Solo and Ilya Kuryakin are played by Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer.

And by the way, for anybody under 50, U.N.C.L.E. stands for United Network Command for Law and Enforcement. "The Man From U.N.C.L.E" opens in theaters nationwide on August 14.
