Continuing Ed Classes You Can Take in Shreveport Bossier

Bossier Parish Community College and LSUS always have a long list of continuing education classes for our community.

I love looking at the list and consider taking a class or two. Here are the ones I am most interested in checking out.

Advanced Floral Arrangement is available at BPCC. This class is Tuesdays from 5:30-8:30pm running from September 26th-December 5th. Registration is $299. There's also a Basic Floral Design class if you are just starting out. This class meets every Tuesday from September 26th-December 5th. It's from 1-4pm.

BPCC also offers Art Around the World. I think this one would be fascination. It's just $49 and meets on one day only, July 21st. BPCC also has Sewing classes and Pop Art Frenzy. Another class that would be fun is Country Dancing and Line Dancing.  For the sports enthusiast, BPCC also offers Golf Classes.

LSUS also has some pretty cool offerings. Screenwriting 101 runs July 18th-August 15th. You will learn the basics. You will explore the ways to create characters, build plots, shape scenes, sharpen dialogue and, write a compelling and produce-able script. This class is offered on Tuesdays from 6pm-8pm and will cost you $99.

You can also take a Color Pencil Drawing class at LSUS. Students will use their own reference photos or imagination to create a composition. You will need the following supplies: Color Pencils PRISMA, drawing pad, hand held pencil sharpener, sticky tack, Q-Tips or blender brush, soft brushes and scotch tape. This class is offered Monday and Thursday from 6pm-8pm. This class just started and runs through July 20th.

If you are thinking about learning to ride a motorcycle, you will find a class on that. LSUS offers Basic Motorcycle Riding. The session runs August 3rd-6th. Part of the course is in the classroom and part of the class is taught out in the parking lot at LSUS.. No experience is needed and you don't have to have your own motorcycle. This class is held on Thursdays from 5:30pm-9pm. The riding portions are held on Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am-6pm
