I'll be honest I haven't bought a lotto ticket since I was 17 years old... I only bought it because I thought it was cool doing something I shouldn't do. Most of the people my age that I know don't buy lottery tickets either. Now I'm seeing story after story coming out showing how Millennials and the younger generation just aren't playing the lottery. Even with the current jackpots totaling over $1.2 billion I, and most of my friends, will probably not buy a ticket.

Studies show that it's not that Millennials can't afford to play, it's that younger generations don't want to wait to see if they've won. We're more likely to play scratch- offs or bet on a sporting event where we can feel a part of it. For right now the lottery is doing just fine but over time will that change? Or will Millennials gain an interest to play?
