Cruise Ship Cancels Night Events Because Of Pirates

What started off as a normal fun filled cruise quickly turned into a much more serious event. The Sea Princess left port in Sydney for a 104 Day cruise but had to spend 10 days on lockdown because of a threat of pirates! First of all who in the world goes on a 104 day cruise?!?

Passengers for 10 days were told they had to keep any balcony doors locks and blinds closed because of pirates. The situation was even so bad at times that they were forced to lock all entrance doors and take shelter in the corridors.

The threat of pirates is a very real thing in that part of the Indian Ocean with some ships even reporting being fired upon. Ships have added extra security and regularly run drills which experts say have them very prepared for any situation that might occur.
