Def Leppard’s ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me’ Performed by Actress Malin Akerman on ‘Lip Sync Battle’

The new celebrity competition show Lip Sync Battle has already provided us with some fun video content. Remember our previous story about a wig-wearing, mascara-donning Justin Bieber covering Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train”?

Well, another classic hard rock song is set to be covered on the show. Actress Malin Akerman (Wanderlust, Rock of Ages) will be seen tackling Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar on Me” on tonight’s episode. We’ve pasted a teaser clip above and you can catch her full performance tonight (May 7) on Spike at 10PM ET.

As for Def Leppard, they will be keeping themselves busy this summer. They previously announced they’ll be heading out on a 48-date tour with Styx and Tesla. Things kick off for the groups on July 23 in Tampa, Fla.,  and you can check out the entire list of dates here.

Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell has also revealed that the band is planning to release a new studio album later this year and are a part of a special event in 2016. The group will be setting sail on the “Hysteria on the High Seas” cruise from Jan. 21-26. The concert cruise will depart from Miami and will make stops in Half Moon Cay and Freeport in the Bahamas. The full information about the sea concert has not been posted yet, but the band promises to update this site, when they are ready to release the information.

For now, Def Leppard fans waiting on their new album, the cruise and their summer tour will just have to be happy with Malin Akerman doing some crotch-grabbing to “Pour Some Sugar on Me.”
