The animated family film "Despicable Me 2" scored a cool $82 million over the Fourth of July weekend, easily topping last weekend's box office.

"The Lone Ranger", starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer, came in DOA with only $29 million, but still managed to come in at No. 2, while "The Heat" finished third.
