Details For Favorite Band In The Ark-La-Tex Contest

Nominations have been going on all week and we've seen a HUGE response so we have to make a few changes to how the contest will work. This is a 100% fan voted contest so every band that has been nominated and fits the requirements listed below will be included in the contest. Since it's March and March Madness is currently going on we figured we'd set the voting up in tournament style.

Bands will be placed in four different groups for the first round of voting and the top 4 from each group will move forward to the final round! The winner will win the title of Favorite Band in the Ark-La-Tex as well as an appearance on The Morning Madhouse as well as a spotlight on the website to promote their music and upcoming shows.

Bands put in countless hours of practice and travel usually for very little pay… At least a lot less than they deserve. We want to recognize this work!

To qualify the bands must live in the Ark-La-Tex and must have either performed or made music together in the past 6 months. Also we aren’t looking for bands that have made it national! We love Whiskey Myers, JB and the Moonshine Band and Neal McCoys of the area but we want to spotlight the lesser known or on the rise acts.

Voting begins Monday March 13th!
