DMX Sentenced To Six Months In Jail For Not Paying Child Support

Rapper DMX was sentenced in a Buffalo, NY courtroom to six months in jail Tuesday night for nonpayment of child support, Billboard reports.

A spokesperson for the New York City Sheriff's Office told WPIX-TV that DMX was taken into custody after failing to pay $400,000 in child support payments.

DMX was detained by police outside Radio City Music Hall where he was scheduled to perform at the Masters of Ceremony concert, according to The New York Daily News.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, has yet to comment.
