Sergeant Barret Lovell has been battling cancer since October and this week LifeShare Blood Centers is helping to organize a blood drive in his name. Shreveport and Bossier Law Enforcement is asking for your support to help one of their own.

Barrett has been a personal friend of mine for more than 12 years and I can assure you that he is worth your time.  If you have the time and blood to donate please stop by one of the two blood drives that are being held this week in his honor. He's a brave soul that is fighting this horrible disease with a smile on his face. Please help if you can.

The drives will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 20 from 12p.m. to 6p.m. at the Bossier Sheriff’s Viking Drive Substation, 2510 Viking Dr., and on Thursday, Jan. 22 from 9a.m. to 4p.m. at the Shreveport Police Dept., 2nd Floor Assembly Room, 1234 Texas St.
